Looking good this spring while the flowers are beginning to bloom is essential. Spring is a time for new life to bloom. It is crucial for your spring fashion wardrobe as well to flourish. When it comes to flowers in the spring Ayasha fashion has a wide variety of selections. Flowers are special to a Native American Ojibwe (Chippewa) because they are seen as medicine and food within the tribe. There several elements to my culture that I will educate you as the consumers on. I believe this will help with the cultural connection making each season for fashion more special for you and I (Ayasha).

Of course, any cute dress with a bold black background blooming with woodlands florals is always a high recommendation for spring and summer. These particular woodlands patterns have a unique connection to nature because most plants and flowers are medicine and food for my tribe. If you are looking for that unique natural connection to the earth Ayasha brand will have it. Woodlands Floral Dress is a flourishing example of a timeless piece of wardrobe that connects the consumer to the brand which then indeed Empowers Cultural Connection.

Many different types of clothing worn by various tribes feature fringes on dresses, jackets, shawls, bags, moccasins, and shirts. The shawls I wear to the powwow are designed by me (Ayasha) and handsewn. My fancy shawls have lots of fringe on them. The fringe is one of the most important to me. For Native American women in the Great Lakes (where I come from, Michigan), the basic garment was a sleeveless dress made of two brain-tanned deerskins, one for the front and one for the back, sewn together at the shoulders and belted. This was worn over an undershirt of woven nettle fiber. Deerskin leggings fell from the knees to the ankles and were fastened just below the knee with a thong or band. Moccasins completed the regalia (Native American Clothing). For work, especially in warm weather, a long tanned deerskin shirt was worn. Long, full deerskin dresses, reaching to the ankles, with fringed sleeves and fringe at the bottom, were a relatively recent innovation simulating White women's dress of the late nineteenth century. The fringed additions served for both practical and decorative purposes. Buckskin clothing was adopted by pioneers, frontiersmen and mountain men complete with the fringes favored by the Native Indians.
Looking for some celebrity runway suggestions from Native American influenced brand Ayasha? When it comes to connecting my consumers to my culture through the fashion industry I believe in educating consumers on the elements within my culture. Spring is here with summer around the corner so nothing more than feathers says to my consumers fly with me on this journey through these seasons as we celebrate Empowering Cultural Connection together. The feather symbolizes trust, honor, strength, wisdom, power, freedom and many more things throughout the Native American culture. Each tribe has symbolized meanings for certain feathers. Many Native Americans, such as myself believe that if they are given this feather, it is a symbol from above. In our culture, we believe that the eagle is the leader of all birds because it flies as high as it does and sees better than all the birds. This is why a headdress (war bonnet) being worn on a models' head down a runway at a fashion show is very offensive to the Native American culture. A headdress (also called warbonnets) are feathered headgear traditionally that is worn by male leaders of the American Plains Indians Nations who have earned a place of great respect in their tribe. Originally they were sometimes worn into battle, but they are now primarily used for ceremonial occasions.
When I watched the fashion runway shows introducing the feathers it brought joy to me. I knew it would give me a great opportunity to share more about my culture through fashion this way. Therefore, I saved the best for last. To offer you part of my culture so there is a better understanding of the DO'S AND DONT'S of utilizing elements of the Native American culture I will inform you if what I know. If I don't know something I go to my elders of the tribes.
